Continuous Professional Development

Everybody working in the post-16 learning sector whose role would be considered to require associate teacher/trainer or full teacher/trainer status has a mandatory or contractual requirement to record 30 hours CPD points yearly.

All NTRL qualifications contribute towards the 30 hours CPD points that are a requirement of the Institute of Learning.

The Excellence in Learning division run Open and Internal workshops throughout the country; these can be used to build up the yearly 30 hours CPD points required by the Institute of Learning. 

Most of the events are relevant to someone in the teaching/training field, but especially:

• An Introduction to Effective Observation of Teaching Training and Learning
• Learner Reviews for Practitioners - Making Reviews More Fun and Effective
• Characteristics of Good Teaching
