Introduction to & Applying for Lottery Funding (WS5765)Tuesday, 20th November 2012, London Euston OverviewOver £18bn in grants made and more than 250,000 projects supported over the last 10 years, the Lottery remains a significant player in the world of grant funding. This one-day workshop delves into the various Lottery programmes, the types of activity funded by each and how to prepare a successful application. ContentThe aim of this workshop is to familiarise organisations with the principal Lottery programmes and the types of activity they seek to support. Through a combination of presentations, group discussions and exercises, delegates will leave with a better knowledge of the key programmes, the outcomes they are seeking to achieve and how to find out about the latest initiatives. Using their experience as a bid writer and assessor, the facilitator will offer important tips on how to write a successful application and prepare for a telephone interview. Note: This event covers England & UK-wide programmes. However, we do also offer a separate event on programmes in Wales. Learning Objectives
