Management Systems & Record Keeping for ESF & ERDF Projects (2994)

Tuesday, 27th April 2010, London Euston

Management Systems & Record Keeping for ESF & ERDF Projects workshop

Overview

This one-day workshop is aimed at all organisations that either manage or deliver projects funded through the European  Structural Funds.  The content will provide support to direct applicants who maintain total responsibility for all aspects of project management as well as project sub-contractors, including those through  Co-financing and the other European Programmes such as Leader.

Content

Without doubt, the management of European funded projects brings with it a significant burden of bureaucracy and administration overload.  For many applicants the advantages available through  Convergence, Competitiveness and Employability and Interreg IV Programmes become outweighed when the Funds then require the recording and evidencing of practically “everything that moves” within a project.  ESF co-financing and global grants provide opportunities for simplification but the basis of record-keeping stays the same.  The better prepared an applicant is at the start of delivery, the less onerous (and risky) the project.

This workshop will be suitable also for staff with monitoring responsibilities and those involved in providing support to applicants and other end users.

The workshop will cover:

  • Review of the various management and regulatory procedures concerned with ESF projects
  • Specific focus on recording systems for beneficiary and financial activities
  • Developing and managing monitoring systems
  • Feeding systems and procedures into audit compliance

Who Should Attend?

Project/Funding Managers from; Training Providers, LSC’s, FE Colleges, Universities, Chambers of Commerce, European Officers in Local Authorities, Business Links, Connexions, the Employment Service and Regional Development Agencies.  Also Government Office staff, particularly audit teams, European Secretariats and Objective 1 Secretariats and others with the responsibility for managing Structural Fund projects.
