NEET Conference 2009

The various cohorts of young people who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) are attracting more attention from Government with further funded projects coming on stream, demonstrating a wide range of innovative Good Practice approaches.

Due to the success of our previous NEET Conferences held in 2007 and 2008 this follow-on third national conference will provide feedback from projects, unpick the good practice approaches and clarify the thinking of Government Departments and agencies, whilst suggesting some core issues that exist when enabling these young people to re-engage
with learning or employment.

Who should attend?

All organisations with an active interest in the NEET cohort to include; training providers, LSC’s, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Chambers of Commerce, Local Authorities, Business Links, Connexions, Children’s Services, Youth workers, Careers Advisors, Charities, Voluntary organisations, Learning Partnerships, Education Business Partnerships, Employers, Youth Offending teams and LEAs.
