Simon Paine - Speaker Profile

 

Simon has more than fifteen years experience in community development, including policing, the charity sector and most recently running enterprise development contracts with disadvantaged people in the South East, UK. In that time he has personally trained, coached and mentored several hundred disadvantaged people from more than 20 countries. His clients include teenage entrepreneurs, convicted drug dealers going straight, HIV sufferers and members of the Congolese Liberation Movement. He delivers expert sessions to students at the School for Social Entrepreneurs, and in addition to numerous secondary schools in disadvantaged areas, he has recently trained students from Peter Jones’ National Enterprise Academy. Simon has also implemented a number of enterprise development interventions with NEET and NEET-risk young people on the South Coast.

He is currently the Regional Enterprise Manager at Business Link South East and in April 2011 takes over as Chief Executive of The New Enterprise Foundation.
