Conference Overview
A one-day conference to highlight changes, plans and implications for data collection, use and regulation in the wider FE and training system.
This event will be chaired by Ian Pryce – Principal of Bedford College, chair of the Data Service Steering Group and information authority board member.
The opening keynote speech will be given by John Landeryou - Director, Further Education, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), and will set the scene for future data collection, use and regulation as the FE data landscape continues to evolve and change.
Breakout sessions will cover subjects that are relevant and practical to data management and transformation in the changing FE landscape such as:
- a demonstration of projects underway to improve data quality – providing assistance and bringing benefits for both data providers and users;
- an opportunity to discuss the changes to the 2010/11 individualised learner record (ILR);
- an update on Framework for Excellence;
- moving to paperless learner records (a provider’s experience)
At the close of the conference there will be a Q & A session with the panel of speakers.
