Accommodation

For the ALP Autumn Conference 2008 we have secured accommodation at two on-site hotels within walking distance of the International Centre.  The hotels stand side-by-side and are adjacent to the venue. A site plan showing the venue and hotels can be found on the Travel page.

Holiday Inn

       

The Holiday Inn has a restaurant serving food until 10.00pm but bar food is available until 11.00pm.  There is also 24-hour room service but with a limited menu.  Car parking is available. Disabled and smoking rooms are available on request, subject to availability. 

Leisure Facilities: Gym, swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi.

Breakfast: Full English or Continental breakfast included. 

Rates: Our specially negotiated room rates are:
Sunday 26th October: £70.00 + VAT
Monday 27th October: £85.00 + VAT

The International Hotel

    

The International Hotel is the sister hotel to the Holiday Inn. Air-conditioned throughout, it is modern and stylish and offers guests a comfortable lounge, the Café Italia serving light meals until 10.00pm and a bar area.  A bar menu is also available but with a limited choice.  Note, the hotel does not have room service.  Car parking is available. 

Breakfast: Guests staying at this hotel will receive an excellent Continental breakfast but with limited hot food available.  Should you wish a more traditional English breakfast, you may take this in the Holiday Inn but a charge of £6.00 per person, per day will be added to your room account. 

Leisure Facilities: There are no leisure facilities at this hotel.  However, you may use the facilities at the Holiday Inn but a charge of £6.00 each visit will be added to your room account.  Disabled and smoking rooms are available on request, subject to availability.

Occupancy for either hotel:

All bedrooms are twins or doubles booked on a single occupancy rate.  However, if double or twin occupancy is required this can be arranged at a supplement cost of £10.00 + VAT per room per night.  Please advise us at the time of reservation if this is required.  Please be aware of smoking preferences – non smoking rooms are based on a first come first served policy.

Check-In

Sunday 26th October 2008 - Guests may check-in to their respective hotels from 2.00pm.

Monday 27th October 2008 - For guests of the ALP Autumn Conference arriving on 27th October and only requiring one night’s accommodation, check-in will be available during Delegate Registration in the International Centre for both hotels and your luggage will be taken to your room.  You may however, check-in at the hotel directly if you wish from 2.00pm.  Check out at both hotels must be by 11.45am on the day of departure.  Note, luggage may be stored at the ALP Conference desk if you wish.

Terms & Conditions/Cancellations:

ALP Conferences have secured these bedrooms at the above specially-negotiated discounted rate based on a block pre-booking of bedrooms.  Accommodation therefore cannot be cancelled once a reservation has been made, although substitutes will be accepted.

Reservations:

Delegates should reserve a room at the time of booking a place at the conference.

Exhibitors should book rooms as part of their Exhibition Space application.
