Counselling Skills for Enhanced Communication
Overview
Given the ever -increasing complexity of modern working roles, the need to acquire counselling skills becomes evident for statutory, voluntary, charitable and business sectors.
Counselling skills enhance clarity, help gain rapport, maintain boundaries, build trust through empathy, ensure confidentiality and help in the recording of the interaction.
These skills should be evident in interactions between for example:
- An interviewer and interviewee
- A manager at performance review
- A mentor or adviser in education or training
- An assessor in nursing/care setting and patient or staff
- A sales professional and client
- A doctor and patient
- Customer relations and client
- Legal or employment adviser and client
In fact, these well-researched and tested skills should be used by all professionals in the interests of optimising communications in many differing settings.
The Counselling Skills workshop will be delivered in a user -friendly, fun environment which seeks to make use of the delegates own experiences for the sake of relevancy.
