DIY SEO: Aiming for Page 1 on Google (5843)
Overview
Do It Yourself - Search Engine Optimisation
Getting more traffic to your website can make a huge difference in terms of how many customers buy your product or service. The key to this is to be at the top of the results when someone searches online for whatever you do. The process of helping search engines rank your website better is called Search Engine Optimisation - SEO.
The good news is that it is easy to do the things needed to get your website onto page 1 of Google, and most of the tools and techniques you need are completely free. The bad news is that it's even easier to get it all wrong, and sadly that’s what the majority of websites do. Of course, if all the websites that do a bad job of SEO are your competitors and you do it properly then you will be in a fantastic competitive position.
This one day course is aimed at anyone who wants to understand how to manage their own SEO. All the techniques are practical and easy to implement, and all are illustrated with real world examples from a variety of websites. All the tools demonstrated and used throughout the course are free, and links are provided so that delegates can download and use them themselves.
Importantly, delegates' own websites will also be critiqued during the session, so during the day delegates will build a clear list of action items which they can start to work on as soon as they get back to the office. If delegates provide details of their website prior to the course then even more feedback on their websites will be provided.
