Good Practice Workshops on Your Premises
Most of our existing good practice workshops can be delivered on your premises or at a venue close to you. This approach is favoured by many of our clients as it provides a high quality and value-for-money staff development route. By running workshops in-house, content can be tailored to local needs. Staff can be encouraged to share ideas, then agree development plans and implementation plans that are owned by them and consequently have the best chance of delivering results. In many cases the cost per person works out significantly lower than our open events, especially when delegate travel-time, costs and convenience are factored in.
Many of our clients value the fact that we can design and deliver a range of training courses tailored to their needs. This includes mixing and matching, adjusting and tweaking existing topics to meet their requirements and to the level of staff involved. Alternatively we can work with our clients to develop fully bespoke training or quote against pre-written tender specifications
Indicative Costs
The costs below are typical for delivery of an existing one-day good practice workshops on your premises with no significant change in emphasis or content. Costs include delegate handout packs, attendance registers, delegate feedback - capture, analysis and summary of, issue of CPD certificates, reasonable consultant/facilitator travel, and where required consultant/facilitator overnight accommodation.
Additional costs may apply where significant travel time/cost is involved or the workshop requires preparation to align to individual client needs. In all cases please contact us with details of your requirements for a cost quotation.
Costs typically comprise two elements — a Base Price and a Cost per Delegate. To calculate the indicative cost of an event, multiply the number of delegates by the delegate rate and then add the base price. See the examples below:
Base Price - Typically £1290 + VAT
Includes the cost of the tutor/facilitator and travel, together with a contribution towards the workshop design and company overheads.
Delegate Rate - £30 + VAT / Person
Covers delegate pack printing/shipping, the analysis of feedback & issue of certificates of attendance

Equipment Required
We typically ask the client to supply:
- Data projector
- Screen
- Flip chart
- Refeshments
Where required we can supply equipment but additional charges apply.
Delegate Numbers and Room Layout
The maximum recommended number of delegates for our workshops is 18. Most of our workshops are interactive, participative learning experiences and work best with lower numbers, 10-14. It is sometimes possible to work with larger group sizes but this is dependent on subject matter and the extent to which we can replace participative learning with lecture-style presentation.
The preferred room layout varies according to delegate numbers. The suggested room layouts are below
- 1 - 6 delegates: Round table with “top table”
- 4 -16 delegates: U shape with "top table"
- 12 - 20 delegates: Cabaret Style. 3-5 tables with about 4-5 people on each plus "top table"
These workshops are highly interactive and the top table is used more for equipment and materials rather than a desk for the Trainer. It is important that all participants have a good view of the screen and a table to rest materials on. A classroom/lecture style set up does not work well with our workshops.
For all group sizes the tutor/facilitator requires a top table with a power supply for the data projector and laptop ( we will supply the laptop). A side table, on which to spread handouts and materials on prior to issue, is also useful.
Indicative Timings
Trainer Arrival: |
08.15/30 |
We can adjust these times to meet your needs if required.
Delegate Details, Feedback Analysis and CPD Certificates
We ask that the client supplies details of delegate names and positions in advance. We use this information to tailor content to the audience and to produce a register. The latter is then used to produce CPD certificates.
Where delegate workshop evaluation forms are completed and returned to us, usually via the trainer on the day, we will provide a summary of the feedback, copies of the base forms and internal CPD certificates by post, after the event.
Supply of Event Materials
We ship materials direct to the delivery venue a few days prior to the workshop and then check arrival. Materials usually consist of a small pack which we ask to be passed to the trainer unopened. As this is organised by our print and dispatch team it would be helpful if you could provide a named contact with whom they can liaise regarding the confirmation of final numbers, shipping of materials and the appropriate contact address and phone number.
